About the role

The Training Manager role is a completely hands-on role responsible for delivering all areas of Learning & Development for The Arts Club. The specific focus will be on operational areas of the business, working alongside all FOH Management to ensure new on-boarding team members have the sufficient support and guidance to settle in as well as the Teams across the club to be maintaining the standards to meet the clubs expected level of service. This role will report to the Director of People & Culture while working closely with the club operations management teams.

In a nutshell:

  • Conduct trainings related to the Guest Services and Service Etiquette in compliance with The Arts Club Standards
  • Be present on the floor to observe the guest service delivery in a quality manner consistently
  • Work with Head of Members Services & Members Services Manager on the Monthly Training Plan to incorporate the members services focus
  • Share the observations and make improvement recommendations with the Department Heads and Director of Operations
  • Ensure the full compliance and implementation of The Arts Club Members Experience Journey
  • Engage with the guests to collect their satisfaction feedback and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify training needs, plan for short & long term development program and train Team members accordingly.
  • Support Director of Operations and senior management team to achieve aspiration of creating centre of excellence to develop the best associates and managers in the industry
  • Job Skills Training Plan/Matrices in place with new starters are following 12-week programme including e-learning.
  • Analyse performance of L&D through internal/brand metrics, quality reports and social media both in terms of feedback and added value to the business
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate ongoing e-learning activities via FLOW Learning by Mapal.
  • In conjunction with People & Culture, work with all departmental leaders to ensure every employee has regular and meaningful development conversations
  • Build a team of L&D Champions and team coaches, enabling and inspiring them to keep L&D as part of every working day.
  • Supporting the operations teams to achieve KPIs through training intervention
  • Work with partnership organisations to promote and attract apprenticeships

About you:

  • Have minimum 2 years experience of L&D in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
  • Come from F&B Management (Assistant Manager and above) background is an advantage
  • Be a skilled trainer with a passion for developing and delivering high-quality and innovative learning and development opportunities.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and related PC package
  • Excellent organisation and administration skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and always retain professionalism
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Someone who is a quick learner and happy to look at ways in which the departments can be more efficient
  • A positive team player who is willing to assist with other departments when needed
  • Tenacious team player who is an avid learner,
  • Always gets the job done
