About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Justice. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering training programs for our Independent Monitoring Boards (IMBs) and Lay Observers (LOs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a Comprehensive Training Strategy

Design and implement a training strategy that balances budget, feasibility, and member needs, ensuring that our training programs meet the evolving needs of our organization.

Drive Training Delivery

Oversee the delivery of our training programs, including core training, specialist training, e-learning, and mandatory training, to ensure that our members receive high-quality training and development opportunities.

Manage Training Administration

Ensure the effective administration of our training programs, including the development of training records and specifications for our member database.

Build Partnerships and Collaborations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with training providers, enablers, and stakeholders, including MoJ learning leads and leadership, the MoJ Talent & Capability team, and SSCL.

Lead on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Ensure that equality, diversity, and inclusion are considered in all aspects of our training programs and that our members receive training that is inclusive and accessible.

Develop E-Learning Capabilities

Design and develop e-learning content that is engaging, effective, and aligned with our organizational needs.

Organize Large-Scale Events

Plan and deliver large-scale events, including conferences and training sessions, to support the development of our members.

Requirements
  • Experience in Training and Development

You will have a proven track record of developing and delivering training programs, with experience in organizing large-scale events and managing training administration.

Strong Organizational Skills

You will have excellent organizational skills, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Excellent Communication Skills

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to Work in a Hybrid Environment

You will be able to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of 60% of your working time spent in an office.
