The Laslett Hotel is seeking to recruit a reservations agent to work with our reservations and revenue manager to oversee room and restaurant reservations. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel experience in a lifestyle hotel with understanding of Opera PMS system.

Working Days/Time - Tuesday - Saturday (10am 6pm OR 11am - 7pm)
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- To ensure all company procedures, standards and brand values are being adhered to and delivered.
- Deliver consistently high levels of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
- Ensure all reservations made are accurate and all guests receive confirmations of their bookings/amendments/cancellations.
- Ensure that all emails, incoming calls are replied to in a timely manner, and in line with the standards and procedures of the department.
- Ensure that all daily tasks are actioned accordingly before the end of working day. Handing over to the Reception team any outstanding task.
- Ensure that the daily arrival list is thoroughly checked and rooms allocation maximised.
- Overseeing restaurant reservations emails/calls.
- Manage availability and restrict room types / rate types where necessary in line with your head of department instructions.
- Collaborating closely with the Reception Team to pursue the highest profitability for the department and the hotel.
- Establishing excellent relations with all customers, playing an active role in ensuring guests’ loyalty.
- Minimising the OTA reliance.
- Posting weekly commissions via Onyx.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
- Your head of department will be responsible for your training and development. You are also encouraged to identify any training and development needs that you feel may assist you in your current position or for future progression.
- Daily revenue tasks will also be part of the daily routine, training will be provided.
- Your head of department may also ask you to assist with training of new starters or other team members, as required.
