Senior Sales Executive – Events & Sponsorship

£Up to + Uncapped OTE

Crawley office 2x per week

Our client has been a market leader in business information for over 160 years, initially focusing on grocery and expanding into various sectors such as food, drink, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Utilising digital channels, they deliver insightful journalism and high-value data, complemented by category-defining digital and print media, innovative business events, prestigious awards, and informative conferences.


We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Executive to join our client’s award-winning Exhibitions department. This role involves selling exhibition space, sponsorship, and digital opportunities to both existing clients and new business, with a focus on the food and drink industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Industry Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the UK food & drink industry and stay updated on market trends to understand clients’ marketing requirements.
  • Account Management: Use your skills to build trust and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Sales Proposals: Create tailored proposals to sell exhibition space, sponsorship, and digital opportunities.


Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of the UK food & drink industry.
  • Strong account management skills to build lasting client relationships.
  • Ability to craft tailored sales proposals for exhibitions and sponsorships.


Additional Qualifications/Experience:

  • Passion for the food and drink industry.
  • 2+ years of sales and relationship-building experience.
  • Proven track record in a relevant sales environment, preferably B2B exhibitions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in speaking with prospects at all levels of seniority.
  • A modern selling approach with the ability to understand and address customer pain points.
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
  • High levels of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Organised and motivated self-starter with a determined approach.


Regular Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high activity levels, including calls, emails, meetings, LinkedIn outreach, and face-to-face interactions where required.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team revenue targets.
