- Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum, plus benefits & bonus_

Due to changes within the business, we now have a requirement for a Learning & Development Lead to join our busy Talent & Development team, based from our office in Cheadle.

The L&D Lead will manage and oversee all learning and development activity ensuring this is reflective of our colleague experience agenda and our Purpose and Vision.

They will work with key stakeholders to create a strategy that drives a learning culture within the business and identify, shape and influence the colleague development agenda, utilising all aspects of the talent cycle to deliver targeted solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an agreed strategy for Talent Development across the Group and define the BAU plan that will deliver that strategy
- Undertake a true partnering approach to learning and development ensuring visibility and credibility throughout the business working with People Partners and Internal Comms
- Hold responsibility for new joiner on-boarding experience
- Develop relevant development activity to ensure People Managers and Leaders have the relevant skills to lead their teams effectively
- Oversee the Training & Competency framework and mandatory training activity, ensuring correct and timely MI is provided to the business and escalation processes are carried out efficiently
- Manage the group succession plan, which identifies critical business roles and any potential gaps in successors
- Act as lead for Talent Development related projects, identifying risks, managing interdependencies and working collaboratively with the wider People team and key business stakeholders.
- Work with Head of Colleague Experience on deliverables around Investors in People and Sunday Times 100.
- Managing a small team of professionals, with responsibility for team performance and development.
- Driving and managing performance through coaching, support and strategic goals.

**Qualifications**

Experience

Essential
- A strong background in learning and development, able to demonstrate learning and development
- Have experience of managing teams consisting of SME’s and multiple activities
- Experience of working with third parties ie, supplier management
- Understanding of mandatory training processes and importance, and able to use MI to effectively demonstrate group adherence
- Understanding of different learning styles and methods, design and delivery experience
- Have the ability to influence and manage multiple internal stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly and with impact both verbally and written.
- Experience of successfully managing projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from start to finish
- Experience of successfully influencing colleagues at all levels within an organisation
- Have a can do approach, showing resilience, creativity, imagination and a common sense and commercial approach
- Ability to respond well to competing priorities, be adaptable and flexible, in line with fast paced changes to business needs.

Desirable
- Experience of working in Financial Services
- CIPD qualified or relevant experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
