**Salary**: £30,862 - £31,858 depending on experience (plus excellent benefits)

Seashell is a charity dedicated to providing a creative, happy, and secure
environment for children and young people with complex needs and additional
communication challenges from across the UK. We have 17 purpose-built home-from-home, four bedroomed houses for children and young people who need residential support. We can provide 24-hour care, weekly and termly boarding, and 52-week placement for individuals aged 3-25 years.

This opportunity is to support our children who are up to 18 years old. All our homes are based on our one site and so **no travel is required.**

Our new Night Lead will work closely alongside another Night Lead supporting the Service and will directly manage the shift leads/seniors and associated staff teams in promoting quality sleep for our young adults; and when awake a safe, caring, and purposeful learning environment that will assist them to achieve their fullest potential.

**Some information about the role**:

- Experience and understanding of disability, mental health and autism.
- Level 3 Health and Social Care (CCYP) - Level 5 Health & Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Good knowledge of CQC regulations and experience of implementing CQC Fundamental Quality Standards for Homes for young adults.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Strong experience of managing a staff team; supervising and completing appraisals with staff in a care setting.
- Experience of disability, mental health and autism spectrum conditions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and maintain reports and children / young people notes.
- Communicate effectively with parents/staff/other professionals.
- Flexible approach to work to work to work a day shift to meet with other operational staff.
