• Ensure all assigned mandatory training related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self.


• Compliance to Syngene' s quality standards at all times


• Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals.


• Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time.

Core Purpose of the Role:
To serve as the strategic leader and trusted advisor for Syngene's most critical clients, driving long-term partnerships, scientific alignment, and commercial growth. The Key Account Manager is responsible for understanding client pipelines and priorities, delivering tailored solutions through cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring exceptional service delivery that translates into sustained revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Account Management


• Develop and execute 3–5-year account roadmaps aligned with client pipelines and priorities.


• Conduct Regular Business Reviews and strategic planning sessions


• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across service lines and work with Syngene internal teams to engage with the client stakeholders.


• Moving up the partnership value chain with the customer (Strategic Influence e.g., multi-year agreements, preferred partner status, increasing wallet share)

2. Client Relationship Management


• Maintain a live relationship matrix and ensure engagement at multiple levels of the client organization (mapping them with the Syngene organization)


• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients especially at Relationship Development (at C-Suite, VP)


• Ensure consistency of messaging between the client and Syngene.


• Establish multi-layers governance between Syngene and Client, track governance actions items and drive to closure.

3. Account Planning & Revenue Growth


• Create and implement account plans aligned with client and company goals. Manage portfolios exceeding USD 25M


• Set and exceed growth targets, drive revenue growth and margin expansion.


• Lead contract renewals and negotiations ensuring favorable terms.

4. Customer-Centric Service Delivery


• One Syngene – collaborate with internal teams to deliver services and solutions that meet customer expectations.


• Collaborate with Syngene Operating Unit Leads and Project Managers to monitor service metrics and delivery quality.


• Customer Retention C Satisfaction (e.g., NPS scores, repeat business)


• Ensure client issues are proactively captured and addressed. Resolve client escalations in a timely manner
• Improve overall client experience with respect to proactiveness and timelines of interactions with Syngene.


• Plan and coordinate client visits to Syngene and ensure positive customer experience.

5. Market Competitive Intelligence


• Provide actionable intelligence on client pipelines, industry trends, and competitive landscape.


• Influence internal decision-making and capability development based on market insights

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration


• Work closely with internal teams including BD/ sales team, marketing, project management, and operations.


• Develop account-based marketing plan (ABM) in partnership with marketing and be responsible for the execution of the ABM plan.


• Align efforts to meet client needs and deliver integrated solutions.

7. Forecasting s Reporting


• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.


• Monitor account performance and present revenue projections to leadership.

Qualifications & Experience


• Seasoned professional with experience in the CRDMO Industry as Account / sales leader with excellent negotiation, influence, and strategic selling skills.


• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizations


• Proven track record growing accounts and exceeding growth targets, through market analysis, needs assessment, and strategic account planning.


• Organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond quickly with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment.

Skills and Capabilities


• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems (Sales force is preferred)


• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and or master's degree in business preferred.


• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural collaboration experience.
