About the Role

LSS Strategic Partners (an A&M Inc. company) is seeking a skilled, creative, and ambitious communications professional to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the communications strategy across a portfolio of dynamic, high-growth companies in the legal, talent, and private wealth sectors.

The Deputy Director of Communications will be a trusted partner to the Director of Communications, supporting all aspects of content development, PR, thought leadership, and marketing initiatives across several business units. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role ideal for a journalist or writer with corporate communications experience who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Thought Leadership

  • Draft, edit, and publish high-quality content, including thought leadership articles, op-eds, case studies, newsletters, scripts, speeches, award submissions, and decks.
  • Interview executives and subject-matter experts to craft compelling narratives tailored to each brand's voice and audience.
  • Support the creation of quarterly market reports, weekly market insights, and annual publications.

Digital & Social Media

  • Develop and manage content calendars for multiple business units.
  • Write and schedule posts for LinkedIn, website insights, and e-blasts, ensuring alignment with broader communications strategy.
  • Collaborate with external PR and marketing teams to amplify visibility and engagement.

Internal & External Communications

  • Support regular internal communications across the LSS portfolio, including newsletters, announcements, and leadership messaging.
  • Coordinate press releases, media pitches, and award submissions in partnership with our PR firm.

Campaigns & CRM Management

  • Assist in planning and executing CRM campaigns, email marketing initiatives, and event-related communications.
  • Track and report on campaign performance and media engagement across business units.

Project Support & Coordination

  • Prepare communications materials for client-facing decks, sponsorships, and events.
  • Manage timelines, approvals, and workflows to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Liaise with external agencies and vendors as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Background:
    4 – 7 years of experience in journalism, corporate communications, marketing, or a related field; professional services, financial services, or legal industry experience preferred.
  • Exceptional Writing Skills:
    Ability to craft clear, compelling, and sophisticated content across formats and channels.
  • Editorial Mindset:
    Experience interviewing senior executives and turning complex information into engaging, client-ready content.
  • Project Management:
    Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinker:
    Interest in shaping communications strategy across brands and audiences.
  • Collaborative:
    Comfortable working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
