Job summary The post-holder will be required to support and deputise for the Radiology A&C Manager in the day-to-day running of the A&C band 2 team within the Radiology department, ensuring all work and duties are completed in a professional and efficient manner.
This will involve high level administrative responsibilities and knowledge, ensuring robust effective systems of work are in place.The post-holder will also provide relevant support to senior management and other associated Radiology teams where required.
Including the exchange of sensitive and/or confidential information with senior management, client families and staff throughout the Health Board on a variety of departmental policies, procedures and matters.
Main duties of the job The post-holder will be responsible for: Communicating with a wide range of professional staff, patients, relatives/carers, stakeholders, utilising tact and diplomacy both internal and external to the UHB.
Meeting administration service requirements efficiently and effectively.
Maintaining and improving one or more departmental information systems.
Supervising Band 2 administrative staff within the department, including completing appraisals and motivating staff to achieve objectives.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Good standard of general education and good knowledge of data protection law.
Must be prepared to undertake specific training to support clinical activities/ competence.
Desirable ILM level 3 or willingness to work towards.
Experience Essential Administration experience in a clinical setting including experience of working within a patient focused environment.
Experience of working within a team.
Experience in working with the public.
The ability to deal with nonroutine issues by problem solving and developing processes and procedures.
Desirable Demonstrable experience of line managing staff including training, recruitment and implementing human resource management policies.
Experience of managing a demanding workload within a team to facilitate effective service delivery.
Understanding of waiting list management Skills Essential Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Able to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to persuade, negotiate, influence and motivate Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines Leadership skills and ability to problem solve using own initiative.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Ability to make judgements on specific problems (including staff issues), following analysis of a range of options.
Special Knowledge Essential Information Governance and knowledge of NHS data definitions and terminology.
