GSL Education are on the lookout for a compassionate and skilled  Autism Specialist  to join a dedicated and vibrant school in  Lincoln.
About the role: As an  Autism Specialist,  your role will focus on supporting students with  Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)  in their educational and social development.
Responsibilities of the Autism Specialist: Specialised Support : Provide targeted assistance to students with  Autism,  adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
Progress Monitoring : Track the progress of students, offering feedback to teachers and parents to ensure that they are reaching key developmental milestones.
Emotional Support : Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, offering emotional guidance to help students manage their anxieties and sensory sensitivities.
Communication : Maintain strong lines of communication with teachers, parents, and professionals involved in each student's education, ensuring a holistic approach to their development.
Promoting Inclusion : Encourage a sense of belonging for students with  Autism,  promoting social integration and inclusivity within the school community.
Requirements of the Autism Specialist: Previous experience working with individuals with  Autism  or in a similar role (SEN/ABA experience preferred).
Strong understanding of  Autism Spectrum Disorder  and associated behavioural strategies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals.
Relevant certifications or training in  Autism  support is an advantage.
Have an  updated CV  and an  enhanced DBS registered to the update service  (or be willing to apply for one).
