Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of one of our Liverpool secondary schools who are looking for a full-time Human Resources Assistant. The role is to start as soon as possible and is a permanent position.

This full-time position will pay up to £26,000 per year, 37 hours per week.

The role:

To liaise with managers to produce job descriptions, person specifications and adverts

To support managers with interview techniques and the interview process

To assist in the induction process for all new staff

To liaise with managers in the correct operation of the probationary period policy

To develop and advise on the appraisal process

To advise and assist managers with disciplinary and grievance issues providing guidance and support as necessary

To monitor individual sickness absence, conduct sickness absence reviews and escalate as appropriate as per the Academy's Sickness Absence Policy

To provide assistance and support to staff around employment policies such as maternity, paternity etc

To assist with the development of certain policies to ensure they are up to date and fit for purpose

To complete payroll administration as required

To manage the recruitment process including facilitating interview days, collating interview packs, DBS clearance etc

To facilitate the absence management process by logging absences on the calendar and SIMs and notifying staff of approval

To maintain staff records and ensure confidentiality

To provide reports as required by the Principal in relation to absence, contracts, recruitment etc

To ensure all information on SIMs is accurate and up to date for the Schools Workforce Census

To ensure consistent implementation of all HR policies and processes and monitor and monitor and report on their suitability

Maintain an effective filing system

Responsibility for all HR related administration

To regularly update and maintain the Single Central Register

To arrange and minute meetings are required

To be part of the wider Academy Administration Team
