Exciting Opportunity: Deputy Children's Home Manager – Mansfield Area

At Classroom Recruiters, we are thrilled to be working with a growing client in the Mansfield area. They’re starting a brand-new project and are seeking an ambitious Deputy Children's Home Manager who is ready for the next step in their career. This role offers the incredible opportunity to participate in a training programme designed to help you become a Residential Manager of your very own children’s home.

This is your chance to join a new 2-bed home project from the very beginning, shaping the home’s culture, care, and team, with the full support of a dedicated management structure.

Why This Role Stands Out:

* Salary: £45,000 to £50,000, with very achievable bonuses

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00

* Career Development: No need for a Level 5 qualification or registered manager experience—we’ll fully support you with training, OFSTED registration, and a management programme to guide your development.

* Future Growth: Be trained to become the Residential Manager of your own home in the future.

* Work with Purpose: This isn’t just another job—it’s a chance to be involved in building a nurturing, child-focused home from the ground up.

Who We’re Looking For:
We are searching for someone driven by passion and a deep commitment to making a real difference in the lives of children with special needs. This role is perfect for someone who:

* Cares Deeply About Children: You’re committed to providing the highest quality of care to vulnerable children, particularly those with special needs.

* Has a Vision for Improvement: You’re always seeking ways to enhance processes and make systems more effective.

* Supports Their Team: You naturally provide mentorship to junior staff, helping create a positive, supportive working environment.

* Takes Initiative: You have a “can-do” attitude, overcoming challenges and finding solutions, no matter the obstacles.

* Is a Collaborative Manager: You’ll work closely with other managers in the local area to share ideas and raise outcomes for the children under your care.

Essential Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (minimum)

* 3 years of experience working with children in residential settings over the past 5 years

* Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015), care standards, and OFSTED requirements

* Learning Disability (LD) experience would be an advantage, though not essential

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and maintain OFSTED standards

* Provide high-quality support to achieve positive outcomes for the children

* Work alongside senior leaders to plan residential services, improvements, and strategic direction

* Manage the day-to-day operational needs of the home, ensuring all policies and health and safety guidelines are met

* Create and maintain Person-Centred Plans for all children, reviewing them regularly to ensure the best care

Be a Part of Something Bigger:
This role is your opportunity to not only shape the future of a brand-new children’s home but also to develop into a Residential Manager with a lasting impact. You'll be working with a child-focused, supportive company that values ambition and creativity.

If you’re passionate about delivering the best possible care and want to help create a home that changes lives, we want to hear from you Apply today to take the next step in your career and be part of a project you can help shape from the start
