Job Title: Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist mental health services to children and adolescents in our community-based services. The role will involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the individual needs of our patients.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provision of specialist mental health services to children and adolescents in our community-based services
• Development and implementation of effective treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Assessment and diagnosis of mental health conditions in children and adolescents
• Coordination of care with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services
• Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

• Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and licensed to practice in the UK
• Specialist registration in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligibility for Specialist Register within 6 months of date of interview
• Proven experience of working in child and adolescent mental health services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team
