About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as a Locum Consultant in Child Mental Health. The successful candidate will work within our multidisciplinary community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of CAMHS services
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior staff
  • Engage in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes

Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC
  • Licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Further relevant degree/diploma
  • Teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education
  • Experience of research in areas specific to CAMHS
