Job Overview

The Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our CAMHS service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.

Main Duties

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice.
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview.
  • Experience in CAMHS and ability to work with children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and cope with competing demands.
