Job Title: Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Specialist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), you will work closely with consultant psychiatry colleagues, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and a wider medical workforce to deliver high-quality care to children and adolescents.

Main Responsibilities:

* Provide specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
* Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health issues
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, schools, and community services to ensure seamless care coordination

Requirements:

* Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice
* On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
* Evidence of teaching and training of post/undergraduate clinical staff
* Experience of research in areas specific to CAMHS
