About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychiatric care to children and young people with mental health needs, working closely with other healthcare professionals and agencies.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of CAMHS services, including the development of policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, psychologists, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement activities to enhance the quality of care provided by CAMHS.
