Job Overview

The Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in the CAMHS Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Registered with the GMC and licensed to practice.
  • On the Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview.
  • Experience in working with children and adolescents with mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
