About the Role
The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Service Desk team is looking for a skilled Service Desk Analyst to provide technical support to customer organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating technical issues, resolving or re-routing support tickets as necessary, and contributing to first-time fixes. In addition to these responsibilities, the Service Desk Analyst will perform routine operations, use available tools and systems to monitor and report on regular activities, and provide effective interfaces between users and service providers. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and team skills, excellent telephone manner, good listening skills, and the ability to accurately document work.

Main Responsibilities
  • Investigate technical issues and resolve or re-route support tickets as appropriate.
  • Contribute to increasing first-time fixes performed by the Service Desk.
  • Perform routine operations to control data processing, peripherals, and communications equipment.
  • Use available tools and systems to monitor and report on regular activities.
  • Provide an effective interface between users and service providers.
  • Interpret technical manuals and provide training on normal usage of systems, products, and services.

Requirements
  • GCSE 'C' grade or equivalent in English & Maths.
  • A level or equivalent organization experience relevant to the role.
  • NVQ Level 2 in administration.

Desirable Qualifications
  • SDI Service Desk Analyst.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • IT industry qualifications.
