Medical Office Assistant Professional

We are seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at CARE4YOU Medical Centre in Whitby, Ontario.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to day-to-day operations of booking appointments, answering inquiries, scanning/faxing and supporting our primary care physicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient registration, scheduling and coordination of patient's appointments, referrals, investigations, tests, and concerns.
- Answering and calling patients, families, and other medical professionals.
- Processing referrals and requisitions, confirming appointments.
- Sorting and handling office mails, faxes, lab reports; inventory and ordering of all office, medical supplies, and vaccinations.
- Clean exam rooms after patient visits and monitor and maintain supplies.
- Follow up on specialist appointments and reports.
- Abide by CARE4YOU Medical Centre policies and procedures.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant Diploma or similar credentials.
- Preferred at least one year working experience in a medical clinic or medical office.
- Proficient in medical terminology.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, EMR experience, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated work ethic; positive, patient-focused attitude; superior professionalism; dependability and reliability; demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer (patient) service.
- Take initiative and work independently.
- Ability to make decisions, exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative when dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, strong attention to detail, work in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior organization, punctual, reliable.

Work Arrangements:- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: $17.50 per hour
- Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week

We estimate the annual salary to be around $36,200 based on part-time hours and hourly rate.
