Job Description: Youth Services Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Youth Services Coordinator to join our team at Somerset County Council, working with children with disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating youth services, ensuring the needs of children and their families are met. You will work closely with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations, to develop and implement effective support plans.

Responsibilities:
  • To coordinate youth services, ensuring the needs of children with disabilities and their families are met.
  • To work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to data protection guidelines and confidentiality protocols.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A qualification as a registered social worker with Social Work England.
  • Substantial experience working with children and families in social work, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external partners.
