Youth Cricket Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Coach and Community Development Officer to join our team at the Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our cricket development initiatives in schools, clubs, and the wider community.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual who is passionate about cricket development and community engagement. You will work closely with schools, clubs, and local partners to deliver high-quality coaching programs, promote the growth of female and junior cricket, and establish positive working relationships with targeted clubs and schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver coaching programs for primary and secondary schools in Somerset, ensuring a minimum of seventy hours of coaching delivery per month.
- Maintain positive working relationships with targeted clubs and schools, promoting the growth of cricket and increasing participation levels.
- Establish a calendar of inter-school events, inspiring teachers and pupils to play an active role within these events.
- Deliver table cricket within mainstream and SEN schools, promoting and supporting the Table Cricket County Finals.
- Drive the development and growth of cricket clubs in Somerset, supporting existing women's and girls' sections at clubs and inspiring other clubs to develop theirs.
- SUPPORT THE SUPER 1S HUB WITH TASTER SESSIONS IN MAINSTREAM AND SEN SCHOOLS ALONG WITH DELIVERING AT THE SUPER 1S SESSIONS.
- Engage with local partners to set up new/support existing activities, continually developing to ensure that delivery is of the highest possible standard.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 2 Cricket Coaching qualification.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to build genuine relationships, excellent IT skills including advanced ability with Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft programmes.
- Ability to travel independently between sites (full and valid UK driving license and access to a car - desirable).
- Clean ECB DBS vetting check or commitment to undertake prior to commencement of the role.
Estimated Salary: £25,000-£30,000 per annum
