Key Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled 1st Line Engineer to join our team in Lancaster, Lancashire. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing first-level technical assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing technical support to clients via phone, email, or remote desktop access
  • Resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to resolve complex technical problems

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in an IT environment, preferably in a helpdesk or technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, virtualization, Windows Server 2019, DNS/DHCP, networking (VPN/VLAN/Wireshark), and wireless technologies (Aruba/Meraki)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience, with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
