Job Title: Automotive Technical Helpdesk Specialist

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our Volvo team, working closely with a team of helpdesk engineers to accept enquiries, provide guidance and technical instructions to the approved repairer network and independent repairers, and customers.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of over 2 years of technical experience as a Senior or Master Technician, or equivalent, within a franchised dealership. They will join us with thorough knowledge of all aspects of modern vehicle systems and repair processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accepting and resolving technical enquiries from the approved repairer network and independent repairers, and customers.
- Providing technical guidance and instructions to ensure efficient resolution of cases.
- Recording data into our computer system.
- Identifying and reporting on vehicle case histories, trends, and analysis.
- Dealing with and responding to telephone calls and emails.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of over 2 years of technical experience as a Senior or Master Technician, or equivalent, within a franchised dealership.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of modern vehicle systems and repair processes.
- Excellent automotive knowledge.
- Experience of working within a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group.
- The ability to describe and understand complex technical issues clearly.
- Confidence in technical concern resolution.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Qualification of City and Guilds or NVQ L3.
- PC Literate.
- Experience of Compass system (advantageous).
- Experience of the Volvo brand (advantageous).
