Job Title: Associate Director, DMPK

Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing innovative medicines for underserved diseases. As an Associate Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK), you will play a crucial role in representing DMPK, designing and executing non-clinical studies to support multiple projects from target identification to candidate selection and regulatory submission.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement DMPK strategies for projects, collaborating with drug discovery teams.
  2. Design experiments, review, interpret, and present data to multifunctional project teams.
  3. Perform DMPK activities, including interactions with external CROs and internal stakeholders.
  4. Work with other core disciplines to support compound progression based on optimizing DMPK properties.
  5. Integrate data from multiple sources to inform the understanding of bicyclic peptide distribution, metabolism, and excretion.
  6. Collaborate with in-vivo pharmacology, toxicology, and/or clinical pharmacology to design experiments to understand preclinical PK/PD relationships and enable human efficacious dose projection.
  7. Track DMPK budgets and contribute to project spending forecasts.
Requirements:
  1. MSc/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
  2. Experience working on DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects as a DMPK representative with a track record of problem-solving and successful delivery.
  3. In-depth understanding of DMPK science and additional knowledge of related disciplines.
  4. Ability to adapt your working style to suit different cultures and partner expectations in both remote and office-based environments.
  5. Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence.
  6. Hands-on experience in in vitro-in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE), PK, PK/PD, and/or physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling is preferred.
  7. Experience supporting radiopharmaceutical projects is desirable.
  8. Experience working on peptides or macrocycles would be an advantage.
  9. Experience using Dotmatics would be an advantage.
