Job Title: Senior Director, DMPK

Join our team at Bicycle Therapeutics as a Senior Director, DMPK, and take on a leadership role in our Quantitative Pharmacology group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of DMPK scientists supporting multiple projects from target identification through to candidate selection and ultimately regulatory submission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide scientific leadership across all stages of the portfolio, ensuring the highest quality and performance of all DMPK activities.
  • Oversee interactions with external CROs and internal project stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Work collaboratively with other core disciplines to support compound progression based on optimizing DMPK properties.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to inform on the understanding of bicyclic peptide distribution, metabolism, and excretion.
  • Design experiments to understand preclinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (pk/pd) relationships in collaboration with in-vivo pharmacology.
  • Author and review DMPK-related IND documents in collaboration with the discovery team and regulatory team.
  • Manage DMPK budgets for CROs and monitor their performance to ensure delivery of quality data on time.
  • Support leadership of the Quantitative Pharmacology group and junior staff development.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Significant experience working on DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects with a track record of successful delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of DMPK science with additional knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DMPK problem-solving across drug discovery.
  • Ability to adapt your working style to suit different cultures and partner expectations in both remote and office-based environments.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence.
