Job Description

Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company seeking a highly skilled Senior DMPK Scientist to join our team. As an Associate Director of Drug Metabolism, you will play a critical role in representing DMPK, designing and executing non-clinical studies in support of multiple projects from target identification through to candidate selection and ultimately regulatory submission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement DMPK Strategy: Develop and execute DMPK strategies for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Lead DMPK Activities: Oversee DMPK activities, including interactions with external CROs and internal project stakeholders, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with in-vivo pharmacology, toxicology, and clinical pharmacology teams to design experiments and understand preclinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) relationships.
  • Track DMPK Budgets: Monitor and manage DMPK budgets for CROs and contribute to project spending forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Education: MSc/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Experience: Proven track record of problem-solving and successful delivery in DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects.
  • Skills: In-depth understanding of DMPK science, with additional knowledge of related disciplines, such as PK/PD and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling.
  • Communication: Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively in a team environment.
