GSL Education is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our primary school in Barnet.

The estimated salary range for this role is £27,500 - £34,500, depending on your level of experience.

As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to build resilience, confidence, and a love of learning.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Working with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement Individualised Educational Plans (IEPs)
  • Contributing to regular reviews and updates of student progress

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience working with children with SEMH or related special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
