Specialist SEMH Occupational Therapist Required

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our client school in Barnet on a maternity cover basis (3 days a week). As an Occupational Therapist in a SEMH Secondary School, you will support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs by developing tailored interventions to improve their ability to engage in school life.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Provide occupational therapy support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to create tailored interventions that enhance student well-being and learning.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualised plans to address sensory, motor, and emotional challenges.
- Help students build the skills needed to succeed academically and socially in a supportive school environment.
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Strong communication and team-working abilities.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is advantageous.
- Able to work collaboratively with a range of key partners.
- Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively.
- A passion for education and supporting students' learning progress.
