Learning Assistant for Students with SEMH Needs

We are looking for a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in our primary school in Barnet.
The estimated annual salary for this position is £29,500 - £36,500, based on experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on young learners with SEMH needs. As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will provide individualised support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing targeted support to students with SEMH needs, using evidence-based interventions
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to develop and implement student plans
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating effectively with parents and carers
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with children with SEMH or similar needs
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and positive approaches to challenging behaviour
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
