About the Role

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join our team as a School Finance Officer in Cumbria. This role involves working onsite within schools and Multi Academy Trusts, assisting with budget monitoring and quarterly returns, as well as providing remote support from home when not onsite.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in finance support within a school environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels. In return, you will be part of a friendly and supportive team dedicated to helping schools operate efficiently and effectively.

  • Deliver high-quality services to schools, academies, local authorities, and other customers.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers through various channels.
  • Have a sound understanding of risk management best practices and comply with relevant operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. A proven track record in schools finance is essential.
  2. Local to the Cumbria area with access to own transport is required.
  3. IT literacy - primarily MS Office - is necessary.
