Financial Operations Assistant

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Sales Audit Assistant to join our team in Carlisle. As a key member of our accounts team, you will play a vital role in supporting our retail stores nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct weekly store audits to ensure accurate sales reconciliations
- Reconcile cash, card, and voucher payments to maintain financial accuracy
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Manage credit card charge-backs by collecting relevant information and responding to Worldpay within deadlines
- Process manual credit card slips and remit for payment in a timely manner
- Coordinate the ordering and arrangement of new data and equipment for store openings
- Provide essential documentation and supplies to stores as needed
- Ensure stores have necessary information regarding floats and gift cards
- Post journals and reconcile allocated suspense accounts
- Process stock take results and investigate any discrepancies
To succeed in this role, you will need a flexible approach to work and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential, as well as previous experience in a financial role or financial qualification. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is also required.
