Job Description

This role is a key appointment for Heidi Wright Recruitment Limited, where you will be responsible for processing financial information to support the organisation in planning and controlling income and expenditure. Working closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Manager, your duties will include:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Inputting sales ledger invoices
  • Weekly bank reconciliation
  • Credit card statements to reconcile
  • Producing financial reports to show weekly cash position (income/expenditure)
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Officer with payroll requirements (40 monthly paid employees)
  • Processing expenses claims
  • Assisting with general accounting queries
  • Supporting annual audit preparations and processes

You will use XERO accounting software, or similar, such as Sage, to perform these tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-established charitable organisation, supporting the people of Cumbria.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years accounts experience
  • Use of Xero accounting software desirable, or similar

  • Working hours: 37 hours per week; Monday - Thursday 09:00-17:00 and Friday 09:00 - 16:30 (reduced hours or job share would be considered)

We estimate the salary for this role to be £28,600.
