About the Role

This is a critical position within Network Rail, responsible for the daily upkeep of the rail network. As a Team Leader, you will direct and inspire a team involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain safety arrangements to ensure the well-being of Network Rail staff and contractors.
  • Proactively control and check the quality of work and the competence of team members.
  • Compile vital reports and ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Develop technical skills across a range of manual, electrical, and digital equipment.
  • Direct, organize, and motivate a high-performing team.
Requirements
  • Experience in organizing and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
  • A clear and inspirational leader with a strong sense of direction.
