The Train Presentation Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of trains meet the highest standards, as outlined in the Train Presentation Handbook.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others at all times, including visitors and contractors.
- Provide proactive information to improve train presentation standards.
- Report defects found during inspections.
- Conduct Environmental Exams and report defects as necessary.
- Advise on all work carried out.
- Work in compliance with South Western Railway's quality procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment supplied and observe COSHH regulations.
- Comply with safety systems and responsibilities at all times.
- Develop a proactive approach to safety and quality issues.
- Ensure personal safety and that of others at all times.
- Carry out emergency procedures when required.
- Report any irregularities, faults, or unusual occurrences in the prescribed manner, maintaining a written record.
- Wear uniform and safety clothing, including a name badge.
- Participate in all staff briefings to ensure informed of all relevant information.
- Examine all notices, publications, and instructions.
- Good knowledge of all carriage cleaning procedures, specifications, and COSHH regulations.
- Basic communication skills, both written and oral.
- Knowledge of safety requirements.
Working an average of 37 hours per week, with mixed shift rosters.
