About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of trains to the highest standards, as outlined in the Train Presentation Handbook.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others at all times, including visitors and contractors.
  • Provide proactive information to deliver improved train presentation standards.
  • Report defects found during inspections.
  • Conduct environmental exams and report defects as necessary.
  • Advise on all work carried out.
  • Work in accordance with South West Trains quality procedures.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Comply with COSHH regulations.
Requirements
  • Comply with safety systems and responsibilities at all times.
  • Develop a proactive approach to safety and quality issues.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
  • Carry out emergency procedures when required.
  • Report irregularities, faults, or unusual occurrences in the prescribed manner.
  • Wear uniform and safety clothing, including a name badge.
  • Participate in staff briefings to stay informed.
  • Examine notices, publications, and instructions.
Working Pattern

Working an average of 37 hours per week, with a flexible roster including some weekends and bank holidays.
