Your New Role:

We are recruiting for a dedicated Train Presentation Team Leader to join our train maintenance centre in Stoke Gifford, Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Train Presentation team on shift to ensure delivery of the Train Presentation Class 800/802 fleets standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with regards to all cleaning activities as required in the TSA Contract.
  • Responsible for the ongoing management of the depot-based cleaning teams.
  • Responsible for the ongoing management of the shift Train Presentation Supervisors.
  • To manage contracted cleaning activities for the GWR Hitachi fleets as required.
  • Daily management of the KPI cleaning regime and associated KPI reporting.
  • Materials and staff planning in conjunction with the associated cleaning requirements.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with stakeholders and continuously improve train cleaning standards.
  • To control and monitor the correct use of appropriate train presentation cleaning materials.
  • To actively support company equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
  • Ensure cleaning teams have a sufficient stock of materials and chemicals to enable them to efficiently carry out their duties.
  • Actively take part in HSE and quality audits.
  • Report any issues with contractors to the TP Manager.
  • Ensure teams and assets are moved around depots in a safe manner.
  • Work to create a culture of 'One Hitachi'.

About You:

Essential:

  • Experience of delivering cleaning standards to an efficient, high quality within a transport environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of heavy industrial vehicle cleaning practices.
  • Experience of waste management & recycling.
  • Excellent team management and communication skills.
  • Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Line Management experience.

Desirable:

  • IOSH, COSHH, Manual handling.
  • Experience of working in a rail depot environment and at stabling out stations.
  • Use of SAP.
  • Management of Subcontractors.
