Job Responsibilities

The Senior Buying Admin Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Raising purchase orders for the department, maintaining and amending them throughout the product lifecycle, and ensuring accuracy on the system.
  • Setting up and updating product lists on the system, based on changing deadlines, and managing critical deadlines in planning and trading.
  • Managing the department's critical path, working with the Buyers to ensure the correct delivery date.
  • Performing general administrative tasks, including filing, invoicing, and managing post and parcels for the department.
  • Managing department samples, including chasing samples, sample storage, and sample requests across wholesale, marketing, and photography.
  • Preparing products for fit sessions and sharing comments with suppliers.
  • Supporting the team in preparing for range meetings, including sample pulling and organizing sign-off documents when needed.
  • Supporting the Junior Buyer with the approvals process, managing product storage, lab dips, yarn dips, and bulk submissions.
  • Conducting comp shops to develop knowledge of the current market and providing feedback to the team as necessary.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Participating in in-store visits and providing detailed feedback to the Buyers and Merchandising team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Buying Admin role, preferably (placement year or internship experience will be considered).
  • A passion for gaining experience and developing a career in Buying.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive, hard-working, and excellent relationship-building attitude.
  • Self-motivation and high organization skills.
  • The ability to work confidently in a team environment.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage their own workload.
