About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Nurse to lead our Emergency Department team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled nurse with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to support staff development.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Emergency Department, coordinating resources to ensure timely care.
  • Provide direct patient care, prioritizing safety and quality standards.
  • Promote effective communication within the team and with other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years recent post-registration emergency nursing experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years' recent experience working at Band 6 level in the Emergency Department.
  • Clinical supervision experience and Major Incident Medical Management certification.
  • Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Nursing Course certifications.
