We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Emergency Nursing Lead to join our team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Job Description

This role will involve acting as the shift coordinator on a day-to-day basis, providing supervision and support to the multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the performance of a team of nurses, ensuring that the highest standards of care and safety are achieved and maintained at all times. Additionally, you will assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in managing staff within the Emergency Department, including human resource management, clinical governance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as shift coordinator and provide supervision and support to the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the performance of a team of nurses.
  • Assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in managing staff within the Emergency Department.
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Current NMC Registration.
  • Demonstrable clinical expertise, relevant to the area.
  • Knowledge of Emergency/Paediatric care issues.
  • Emergency nursing experience, ability to rapidly triage and prioritise care.
  • Ability to deal with and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage a pressurised clinical situation.
