University of Cambridge seeks a full-time Assistant Professor in Sociolinguistics from September 2025. We invite applications from candidates with outstanding research potential in broadly sociolinguistic areas using science-based methodologies and strong formal linguistics background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of an intellectual programme in Linguistics and the Language Sciences at Master's and PhD levels.
  • Teach undergraduate courses and supervise small groups.
  • Active contribution to the administration of TAL and the Faculty activities.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field by the start date.
  • Relevant teaching experience and active engagement in research, teaching, and outreach.
  • Fluent or near-fluent English command.
Salary and Benefits
