Clinical Research Nurse - Neurosurgery

Join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Research Nurse in the Neurosurgery department.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality patient-focused clinical research in the Dept of Neurosurgery.

The post holder will be responsible for identifying eligible clinical research participants, providing information and support to patients/participants, study recruitment and consent, coordination of study treatment/interventions, assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care and data collection according to study protocols in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice, EU Clinical Trials legislation and the NHS research governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify eligible clinical research participants
  • Provide information and support to patients/participants
  • Recruit and consent participants
  • Coordinate study treatments/interventions
  • Assess, develop and implement specialist nursing care
  • Data collection according to study protocols
