Job Description

Marshalls PLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our Domestic Sales team in Southern England. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key merchants, domestic patio & driveway installers, and relevant house builders in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve budgeted sales and profitability targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through collaboration with internal sales teams and commercial functions
  • Provide market insights and competitor analysis to inform business decisions
  • Work closely with the Divisional Trading Manager to formulate sales plans and strategies
Requirements:
  • Proven commercial experience in sales and business development, preferably in the construction industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to negotiate with customers and stakeholders, using technical information and specifications as a commercial lever
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver a message with authority and confidence
