Job Overview

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to take on a senior role as Night Nurse Coordinator at a leading healthcare provider in the Springfield area of Essex.

About the Role

This is a challenging and dynamic position that requires a highly skilled and dedicated professional to oversee the delivery of high-quality care to patients with acute mental health problems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all patients within the ward have their needs assessed, and programmes of care are developed and delivered in accordance with agreed policy during their span of duty.

  • Lead by example and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to maintain high standards of care at nights.
  • Evaluate care offered by nursing staff on nights and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with Charge Nurses to ensure safe staffing levels throughout the hospital at night.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Hold current active NMC Pin as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Have experience of working in a similar role or as a Deputy Manager/Senior Nurse.
  • Be familiar with the Mental Health Act and its application in practice.
  • Be willing to undertake physical requirements of PMVA.
