Job Overview

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly skilled Fetal Surveillance Midwife to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle, focusing on improving standards within Element 2: Risk assessment, prevention, and surveillance of pregnancies at risk of fetal growth restriction (FGR via GAP/GROW) and Element 3: Raising awareness of reduced fetal movement (RFM). They will also work closely with the multidisciplinary team to collaborate on learning opportunities and developments.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Midwife

Desirable Criteria

  • Teaching qualification or relevant experience

Experience & Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Post-registration experience, including recent Labour Ward experience
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable Criteria

  • Proficient and expert understanding of Saving Babies Lives Elements and associated clinical skills
  • Audit experience
