About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist clinical services to patients with a range of medical conditions, including neurosurgery, neurology, neurophysiology, stroke, and neurorehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessment and treatment to patients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
- Exercise full clinical responsibility for patients' psychological care and treatment, both as an individual practitioner and within the context of multidisciplinary care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training and education programs for staff and students.
- Participate in clinical audit, research, and service evaluation to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with:
Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for patients' psychological care and treatment.HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist.Post-doctoral training in a therapeutic approach relevant to the psychological needs of medical patients.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.About Us
