About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist clinical services to patients with a range of medical conditions, including neurosurgery, neurology, neurophysiology, stroke, and neurorehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex neuropsychological needs.
- Provide evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based approaches.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
- Participate in clinical audit, research, and service evaluation to drive quality improvement and innovation.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for Clinical Psychology and Counselling Psychology trainees.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with:
Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment.HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist.Post-doctoral training in a therapeutic approach relevant to the psychological needs of medical patients.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.About Us
