Civil engineering projects require meticulous planning and execution to ensure timely completion and within budget. As a Construction Quantity Surveyor at Fawkes & Reece (North), you will play a critical role in delivering complex projects like the Ardersier port development in Inverness, Scotland.

Your key responsibilities will include estimating costs, obtaining supplier quotations, negotiating prices, and preparing detailed quotations to meet deadlines. Additionally, you will need to liaise with clients, suppliers, and the management team to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating costs for the project, including material take-offs, labour costs, and equipment hire
  • Liaising with suppliers, clients, and the management team to ensure project delivery
  • Preparing detailed quotations and tender submissions
  • Managing and coordinating the estimation process
  • Providing cost analysis and reports to the management team

Requirements:

  • Experience in Civil Engineering sector essential - preferably structures/remediation/groundworks
  • Experience as an Estimator on Civil Engineering projects essential
  • Relevant Estimating or Quantity Surveying related qualification (HND/Degree or equivalent) desirable
  • Experience on enabling works projects desirable
  • UK drivers license required

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
