We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team near Inverness.

Job Summary

This is a permanent contract role with a negotiable salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set a personal example of best practice in safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Manage sub-contractors and the workforce effectively.
  • Communicate with site teams, including engineers, quantity surveyors, and safety officers, to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
  • Develop and lead the team to deliver all aspects of the project.
  • Provide, monitor, and control labor, plant, and materials to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, including daily diaries and allocation sheets.
  • Maintain safe systems of work across all activities.
  • Verify that all records, such as plant, delivery tickets, temporary works, and permits, are up-to-date and in place.
  • Support line managers/engineers with programming and production of activity plans.
  • Contribute to weekly meetings and QF discussions on safety, progress, resourcing, costs, and program.
  • Perform statutory inspections, such as weekly safety and environmental tours.
  • Aid in workforce development, identifying training needs and reviewing performance.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality, meeting specification requirements.
