Role Overview

This administrative support role in an academic department requires a Temporary City Centre Reception Team Member to join our team for a 12-week full-time assignment. The successful candidate will work from our city centre department, commencing in January 2025.

Key Duties
  • Welcome visitors to the department and provide assistance as necessary, including directing them to the appropriate area, issuing visitor passes, and dealing with queries.
  • Maintain the tidiness and organisation of the reception area, ensuring a smart professional image at the first point of contact.
  • Take incoming phone calls, answer queries, and redirect them appropriately to departmental extensions.
  • Receive and log deliveries and courier mail, sort outgoing mail for the University messenger, and assist staff in organising couriers as requested.
  • Support arrangements for conferences, seminars, and meetings, including booking equipment, parking, meeting rooms, and catering.
  • Issue room keys and book and issue equipment if necessary.
